This was a rocky read for me. It took me a lot longer to read this book than usual. It’s not that it’s a bad book, or that I didn’t enjoy it. I liked it, but it was a bit draggy at times.
There are a several plot lines intertwined in this book, centered around the two main characters, who couldn’t be more different.
I didn’t buy the relationship between Imogen and Hunter. She seems shallow, self-obsessed and spoilt, and Hunter seems like a great guy, so I couldn’t see how he could possibly be interested in her. I guess there’s a lid for every pot.
Celeste is great. I really liked her and was rooting for her.
The book is slow at times, and at the end everything goes at breakneck speed. Overall, a good read. I loved the different expressions Australian’s use, and liked the writing style.
